so I have a 1989 Toyota with a 3.0 v6 its my first Toyota so I don't know a whole lot it has a loping idle but only when the motor gets warm or when I press the brake or something I heard from a friend it might be a nock sensor or an egr valve any advice

 

Check for vacuum leaks at the brake booster or anywhere for that matter. unplug the main vac hose from the booster and plug it with ur thumb.
also check the TPS (throttle positioning sensor)
