Passenger Side Motor Mount fits with grinding but what is that fitting?

Passenger Side Motor Mount fits with grinding but what is that fitting?

I do not have a pic at the moment but ive seen it on here where some have to gring a small section of the passenger side motor mount bracket to clear that fitting. My question is what is it....coolent? if so where dose it go/come from? Thanks for any help

I remember that on mine. It's a coolant drain whatchamacallit. I removed it from the block.

Just removed it and replaced with a plug?

There is a bolt above it I believe that is the actual plug. What interferes with the motor mount is a spout to attach a hose for draining the coolant from the block. I just pulled the spout out of the block.

My 96 4Runner donor motor didn't have that spout, just a threaded hole; it was likely something added from the factory to make draining the coolant from the block a little cleaner of a process.
