It is my humble pleasure to introduce myself, Ash, to thine online presence yota masters. I am in every aspect a beginner to the world of auto mechanics. I work as a mechanic at a bowling alley and have done some servicing to my 91 4wd yota pickup, but have much to learn. If this is an appropriate forum to do so, I will document the removal and installation of the transmission. I had a g58 on which the shift lever retainer came completely loose and as a result all of the gear oil splashed out over a period of time and was running completely dry until it failed miserably. I am going tomorrow to pull a w56 with the t case and shift lever assemblage and will hopefully have it installed this weekend. following this I will document the rebuild the g58 for kicks, and maybe it'll work.
