Hi all,


Just installed water pump on 3.0 6 cylinder. The new pump has 3 inch metal tube coming out where the thermostat is. The old pump did not have this. Obviously, this is for coolant to go through. My question is, where does this go to, and, can I just cap the end off?

It goes to the oil cooler that you apparently don't have. Capping it off is ok....just be sure whatever you cap it with sustains the pressure and does not leak.
