Heater switch fried??? 93 22re

So my dash heater switch has totally melted leaving me with no air flow. Does the switch going out have anything to do in conjuction with the heater core or blower?? Or is it just the dash switch??

Well it controls the speed of the blower motor along with the resistor .

It should not have any effect on the heater core but it is a 93 no telling what may have been done.

Just what did you do that you managed to melt your switch??

I've owned it 3 years and it always acted funky. I always had low. Then I pulle it out and pryed the copper switch blades and it worked fine for the winter. Then it just started melting to the point where I only had hi, and now nothing
