1995 t 100 3.4 5 speed 4x4 it has a rough idel like its missing but as soon as you idel it up it plains out runs smooth so i checked for vacume leaks so i done what i always do i got my water hose and turned it on real slow and started running water over all the vacume lines hopeing to stall the motor and find the leak so i started running the water over the intake and it started running better but i looked over and it was steaming like crazy out of the tail pipe i took the water hose off and with in 5 sec it would stop steaming and about 10 sec after that it would start ideling rough again anyone ever had this prob befor any tips or tricks

 

your sucking water into your engine some place I would say you found your vacuum leak.

Now you just need to narrow things down to the correct location.

It could very well be a gasket not a hose

could even be a crack in the aluminum someplace
