Hey ya'll ! I got a problem... I got a 96 4runner auto , and sometimes the key wont turn all the way off...I ve been rocking the truck a little and then it would turn on off..but now it wont turn off at all... Ive been told neutral safety switch ? What do ya'll think ?

 

Time to have your ignition switch rebuilt or replaced.

The neutral safety switch is in the transmission unless you have some sort of custom set up.

 

The 96s the keys get stuck in the start cylinders in the dash, and either the keys won't come out or it won't turn over shaking the steering wheel doesn't work. Had mine towed, torn out, rebuilt and new keys made. Was a total PITA, seems to eat stock toyota keys every year now so I have a bunch of extra blanks laying around!
