I have an 87 pickup with a 22r. It's been running rough for a while but i know my carb needs rebuilt. I had it started the other day since it had been sitting a few days with the negative degree weather. But when I went out to start it the next day it wouldn't start. Barely tried to fire and after that nothing but cranking. Tried starting fluid and same effect. I put a heater under the hood on the distributer for 2 days and finally got it to fire up but could barely keep it running and it was blowing tons of white smoke. Then after a few mins it went back to the same thing. I pulled the main wire off the distributer and I am getting spark there. But still today even with gas or starting fluid in the carb it won't fire after having a heater on the distributer for 3 more days. Someone help!
