FS[NorAtl]: 1994 Yota Pickup
#1
I am selling my 1994 Toyota Pickup...5spd trans with a 22RE engine...Around 146k miles...I've owned it for a year and half in that time I have replaced the following.....
Complete new front timing cover including timing chain/tensioner/heavy duty (steel backed) timing chain guides.
New oil pump and water pump when I did the timing chain..Got the complete kit from engbldr.com so it was quality parts, not chinese junk.
Had removed the oil pan to clean the inside and reseal it, started running Rotella synthetic oil (high in zinc and phosphorus, good for bearings) ever since I did that, within first month of ownership
Flushed the cooling system and put in new coolant
New valve cover gaskets
New belts (all 3)
New Sears battery with higher cold cranking amps than factory
New Starter
New thermostat
New radiator and coolant again (did about a month ago)
New Front And Rear Bilstein shocks
New fuel filter (have done it 2-3 times since I owned it)
New MSD spark plug wires
New cap and rotor - Japanese made
New spark plugs (have done 3 sets by now)
New tailgate external latch assembly
New headlight bulbs (the best ones advance auto sells)
New Goodyear wipers
Changed the trans and rear diff oil to Shell synthetic oil
Replaced the D/s front brake caliper
Installed aftermarket radio/cd player
I am currently changing the clutch master and slave cylinder then will be available to sell once this weather gets better.
I'm sure there is more but this is all I can think of off the top of my head..
The previous owner before me owned it for a year, he put on new brakes, tires and exhaust...the tires still have a good amout of tread life left. He put in a Centerforce clutch, if you peek in the clutch fork boot you can see the orange pressure plate verifying it is a centerforce. He also lowered it with blocks under the leaf springs which would be easy to remove if you wanted it taller height.
This truck has COLD and fully working A/C which blows 40 degrees. It has one paint job on it, the paint still looks very nice but body has some dents and scraps as any vehicle would, especially a truck, but are only noticed once close up, I have gotten Many comments on this truck.
It has clear aftermarket headlights. Has aftermarket foglights which both work but need to be wired up. Has a radio fm signal booster.
Has a 3rd brake light on top of cab which I believe is not factory. Has a trailer hitch and dual trailer sockets, the flat 4 pin plug and the other version. Has a mini tach on the dash. I would normally wash the engine bay like once a month to get the buildup of dust and crap out and then spray everything with an anti-corrosion spray. Has a Grant wooden steering wheel and shift knob, have also gotten many compliments on that "Wow that steering wheel looks like it belongs in a Jaguar"
..The engine does Not Leak OR Burn oil. The interior is also in pretty good condition for its age also, no cracks in dash either.
Aftermarket radio/cd player head unit
It has two small subs behind the seat along with an amp
Has two aftermarket speakers in the front along with a crossover (I have pics in my phone somewhere to show them, they're German made too)
The Bad....
The trans' 4th gear stopped working and kept on popping out so I just stopped using 4th, it never bothered me besides needing to rev out 3rd gear a little extra before I put it in 5th gear, plus the motor has pretty good low end grunt, but I had put it in 4th recently by accident and it worked so not sure if its ok or not but like I said it never bothered me to just skip it.
There is an exhaust leak where the pipe goes into the muffler inlet, it broke at the welds so it can probably just be rewelded.
Located in Toms River, NJ
$4k obo
Only reason I'm selling it is for something bigger and newer like a newer generation Tacoma. This would be a great truck for a younger kid too. I can put up more pics of the inside/outside/engine if someone is interested.
