1995.5 Tacoma?

This might seem like a pretty stupid question but I'm a little curious. I've recently been looking at lift kits for my tacoma, I was mostly looking at skyjackers kits but my dad told me to check out revtek. He has an '06 tacoma and got me into the trucks. While i was on revteks site I noticed they had kits for 1995-1/2 - 2004 kits, and in the picture it shows the tacoma with the flush headlights and not the sunk in head lights that my truck has. So, my question is are they both the exact same truck with just a different grill and headlights? I cant remember off the top of my head what month my truck is exactly but I think it is April,1995. Any enlightenment would be much appreciated. My truck is the one on the left.

Front suspension is the same, the lift kit will work for your truck

Right. It'll work but it won't be the best or smartest option.

What else would I need for lifting my truck so I dont damage anything. Im only looking to get a 3" lift so I can get a little bit bigger tires. Nothing too crazy.

what else will you need as far as tools or components? the kit will come with all the components (front strut spacers, rear blocks, and all the hardware) as far as tools the only out of ordinary thing you will need is a spring compressor. and i think what scuba means is there are better ways to lift your rig like fox/king coilovers that lift the front with no spacer needed all usable suspension and add a leafs in the back or leaf swaps like to a chevy 63" leaf pack instead of blocks

Ok thanks for the clarification. Ill definitely look into coils and leaf springs aswell, although I only want to lift it more as a cosmetic thing and not performance. The most action this thing sees is camping and going up to snow so no real offroading or rock crawling really.

Would this be a better alternative than the revtek kit?
