Best way to lift the rear of a truck under $300

I want to lift my Toyota T100'about 2inches in the rear.
Which way is the better way:
Longer shackles
A rear block
Different springs
An AAl system

Regardless of money which on is the best most professionally way to lift it.

Do a search on pirate on it, there's enough info to read for days. You might have to search specific T100 swaps to find where to place the new hangers though

I should have asked first but what are your plans for your truck? Why do you want to lift it a little?

Chevy 63's should be good for that. They flex a ton and add lift depending on how many leaves are in the pack

I don't think 63" chevy's are long enough for the t100. Personally, I'm really happy with my Toytec shackles...check out my build. They are originally for a first generation tacoma. They equal out to about 2 inches on my truck, and i think it's under a hundred to do it.

Shackles or add a leaf. I have an add a leaf from a spring shop on my T100 and I could easily fit 33's. The add a leaf isnt a huge thick overload junk leaf like they sell usually, but a regular leaf that gives about 1.5" of lift and rides better than those thick overload leafs.

Cjm, are you happy with the AAL on your truck? That was my first route to lift the rear of mine, and it rode stiff as a board. I swapped to shackles within 6 months.

Quite happy actually. About 5 years ago I contacted a spring shop to re-arch my leafs and add a leaf to the pack. The leaf they added is not an overload leaf, but a regular leaf and I gained a good 1-1.5" or so. It added a good bit of payload as well, about 2 years ago I went to the scrap yard with so much stuff that the truck was light on the frontend and I was towing a small trailer as well, I weighed in around 8000lbs, the truck itself comes out to about 4500 at best lol. the bed was sagging and I had to air the tires up to 50psi but she did the 10 mile run.

Course my T100 has bilstein HD shocks and C rated LT tires so it doesnt ride like a caddy.

Ya mine was a procomp I believe. I'm thinking about changing up my set up this coming summer. My brother just redid his lift kit on his Tacoma, so I was going to Change to his Toytec adjustable rear shackles and a Toytec AAL with bilstein's.

The reason the truck rides like crap if you do the cheapo add a leafs is b/c they are thick arse hard leafs that dont flex it all. The key for me was to use a stock like leaf. If you could find a junkyard with a 99-06 tundra you can yank the springs, they are the same for the reg/x-cab not sure about the dbl cab tho.

Ya I was contemplating that. I have a stock leaf pack from a '86 sitting out back. I was thinking about pulling a leaf from that and adding it in for a little bit more load carrying capability.

Yes...very very helpful. You input was very, enlightening.

But I do prefer to use a two post lift. A lot less crawling around on the ground.

I have a Chevy 63" complete kit everything ready for install. Have not heard many reviews for it installed on the T100. Was originally for my 86 4runner but never got around to it.
