how to make battery wiring simple as possible
#1
I had an 86 pickup w/ 22r, I hit a tree and bent the frame on it. The battery fell and all the wires hit the fan and got torn. I just bought another 86 which ive swapped the 22r into the last thing ive got to do is the wiring. There was not much of the wires on the new truck and I cannot remember exactly where the wires came from and went to. I would like to make it simple as possible by just having the wires essential for using headlights, turn signals, brakes, fuel gauge, speedo, temps and also to the engine. The only way I can refer it to is as if i wanted the electronics setup to be like a track car but with the lights making it legal to drive on the road.. This may sound completely ignorant but thats how im thinking of it in my head. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Ty

About the best thing you can do is to find a copy of the Electrical wiring diagrams or EWD as Toyota calls them . For the year truck you have.
I can`t see that yours was all that bad having been cut by the fan.
If you really want to build your own wiring harness . For some it is not that hard just very time consuming.
Look for the harnesses you need for your truck which would be the easy and less time consuming of all the above.
