Hey all.

First, I'm new here and to forums in general. Hope I've got the right place to list this.

Second, hope I'm not re-asking an already answered question. I've searched and couldn't find what I was looking for.

So, will a 2nd gen (1990-95) tailgate regulator assembly drop right in and work in a 1st gen (1987) 4runner?

The reason I'm looking to replace the regulator in my 87 is because the arms are bent on the regulator. I haven't yet removed it. Kinda stuck in there. But, the other option, once out, is to straighten the arms if that's possible. Has anyone dealt with this before and know how to straighten out the arms.
