Didnt short out circuit when adjusting timing

So I have an 87 22r and I was adjusting my timing and forgot to short out the circuit, now I can tell the truck isn't running properly don't know if this is related but my battery won't stay charged. Any idea to fixing the problem? thanks

First thing first get it timed properly. Then drive it to the local auto zone or what ever you have locally and have them check your battery and alternator for free

x2 Do as instructed above. Also...you could post some pics and let us see your beast as well.
