2008 1GR-FE compatability - ASAP - TIA!!

Long story short my older sister snapped a rod in my 2008 Tacoma, which punched a hole in the side of my block. I can get a REALLY good deal on an engine from a 2013, but I have to decide by tomorrow or its going to the insurance co along with the rest of the totaled truck it would be coming out of.

Does anyone know if the 2013 engine will bolt up in place of the 2008 model? They are both 1GR-FE motors, but things can certainly change in 5 years. Because these motors are so new...and tough, I'm having a hard time finding almost any info at all.

I would love to have the newer, cheaper, lower miles motor, but don't want to put it in only to find out there was a major electrical / computer difference that's gonna cost a ton to work out.

Chassis and drive-trains are 95% the same between those years.

Only difference in the engine is I believe the later model engines had Dual VVT-I ...

But if I'm not mistaken the Standard 1GR-FE VVT-I engine can be found in all Tacoma's 2005-Present.
