Hi I am looking at buying a tacoma 5 spd 2wd 4 cylinder 2.7 ltr engine reg cab around a 2007 model I was wondering if these trucks have any normal issues with engine, transmission etc...that I might need to know about i have a 89 2wd now and was gonna move up to a newer model and just get away from the older stuff.
I found 2007 with 140000 miles in darn good condition he trying to get 8500 and kelly blue book highest value is 6900. Would 8500 still be a good deal for this truck

being that that's a base model truck (literally sounds as base as you can get it) and has 140k on it, I think you could talk the seller down AT LEAST another thousand... that being said, they DO hold their value. I'm getting ready to sell my 06 SR5 2wd PreRunner V6 that I still owe 13k on and blue book value on it is 15-17k!

 

8500 seems a little high for that truck. As far as engine problems there are none that I have experienced
