Alright I'm new to the Toyota scene. Just bought an '88 Xtracab about a month ago. I found an '81 in a junkyard nearby that I want to take the front axle out of. My question is, what are the bare minimum of required tools to remove said axle? I stay in barracks so all my tools are back home. Any input is appreciated.

 

Grinder with a cutoff wheel, or sawzall and a generator. Cut the shocks,drag link, stabilizer bar, u-bolts, and brake lines.

 

Yeah I didn't even think of that, good call. Never thought I would feel so naked without my tools.
