I have a 83 4x4 short bed and was wondering if anyone has tried to put a bed from a 87 2wd I have found one that is perfect no rust no dings or dents I would love to put it on my 83 but didn't know if it was possible or not. It is a 6 hour drive to pick it up and don't really want to waste my time, he is a busy kinda guy and is not wanting to take measurement for me. any help would be great thanks again.

 

I just found the answer I was looking for. looks like it is an inch or so wider and the fuel filler needs some work, and mounting holes are different as are the fender flairs or lack there of.. thanks

 

Did you buy and try to mount anyway?
