does anyone know if the 3.4 heads will fit on the 3.0. i was told it was almost the same engine where most of the stuff bolts together. i know the big problem with the 3.0 is the heads. any info. i have a 94 4runner with 31s soon to be 33s. engine has 240k miles and is on its last leg. i dont know if i should do a rebuild myself or do the 3.4 swap or and i hope you guys dont hate me for this but the 4.3 h.o. v6 swap out of a chevy astro i have sitting on the side of my house rusting away. the chevy just has cheaper parts and i know there is a bell housing swap for my 5 speed. the 4.3 was used as a drag van and is about 250 housepower and 320 torque. it has the vortec heads along with the tbi injection. they sell a supercharger for it as well but i dont think ill need that much power. im doing the sas swap and extending the rear bars to give me more travel or maybe doing a cantilever. i dont want to do a body lift so everything will be cut. going with a 3ed gen front clip with steel fenders and rear steel fenders as well. just wanting peoples opinions on this. i live in the high desert in so cal and i want a one of a kind that nobody has. it is being sponcered for my lights and body work. im doing the work my self.

 

If you've got the 4.3 parts just go that route.

 

I wouldn't spend a dime on a 3.0
If you already have a Chevy 4.3 that runs good use it
