I would like to know if anyone knows if the front wheel spindles on an 88 Toyota 4wd have any type of plating or if they are bare metal.I seem to have dulled the finish on one of my spindles and am concerned that I may have stripped of the plating.

 

well if they are the stock ones just steel. i could be wrong

Then who knows if someone worked at a industrial plater and did some extra work one day.

 

I would guess the cast iron spindle is just painted the same as the rest of the suspension components. I doubt there is any plating.
