letronic cluster in 90 yota?

letronic cluster in 90 yota?
i have a 90 3.0l v6 and looks like the guy before me put a newer tranny in with a letronic speed sensor could i just find a sr5 letronic cluster and the wire from the sensor to the cluster or does the wire from the sensor go into the ecu?
if this would work does anyone have a cluster and the wire kicking arround?
