After MArket injectors for v6. any thoughts?

i have a 94 runner v6. Ive been shopping around for injectors since i dont have much time to have them sent out. Ive seen "4 hole" injectors as an upgrade for the v6 motors and was wondering if anyone has had good/bad experience with them. it sounds all good and dandy, but if the motor is designed for the injectors itr has, do these work any better?

In short, no. You can't just throw any type of injectors in there and have it work(with the stock ECU).

For this engine, the options are extremely limited. You've got the flamethrower injectors or stock to choose from. And if it's an 88, like mine, your stuck with stock. Until I/we figure out how to modify the flamethrowers to work with an 88 ECU.

yea, those are the ones i saw and was thinking to good to be true. and since the injectors are under the intake, i wouldnt wanna "try" these only to find out it makes the truck run like crap. i mean the video looks cool and all and it looks like it can work, but i dunno..

Haven't heard 1 complaint about them yet from anybody who's tried them. Several threads about them already here, and on pirate. 121 sets sold. How likely is it that they aren't working in those 121 engines? Again, with nobody having said ANYTHING negative about running them so far.

looks like a good deal. I just wonder how much "tuning" they will need? im guessing extra timing and more air to make them perform as advertised. if you are going this route a good wide band o2 sensor so you can monitor your air fuel ratio might be a wise investment as well. that way you can make the 3vze perform at its best. good luck!

thats what im trying to avoid...lol..i jsut wanna drop em in and run...not really looking to tune much if thats what they take to work

with all of the stuff that I have done to my motor I can tell you it is pretty tolerable of changes. It does, for the most part, accept the change and go. I was basically implying that you might need to slightly adjust the timing or the idle adjust screw to make it go better. My timing is at 15 degrees and it runs a lot better than the stock 10. it may not take much tuning for a stock motor.

I should note that I have no real world experience with these injectors, I was merely speculating what else would need to be done with these injectors. Read up on them on yotatech and pirate and see what people who have them say.

I recently got these rebuilt denso's, happy with them thus far. Came in like new, much better shape then what I pulled out.

I would not waist my time with the flame thrower injectors as an "upgrade". Stock denso
injectors that are in good working order DO NOT have that spray pattern. But as a replacement they look fine and i am sure they function great as there is no complaints.
