Breaking in my new 3vze I hear marble sound & rod bearing

Well I just received my 4runner back on Tuesday, I tell the shop it doesn't feel right it's sluggis, they asked for it back, have it back the following day, the day after they call me and they tell me that they adjusted my timing, get it back the following day (on Friday).

I drive it only 15 miles, take it to work the following day (saturday may 4th), 4 miles from my house, decided to check the fluids...??? Wouldn't you believe there is hardly any oil in the new motor? I call the shop, they rush over to my work and bring over oil, back to full, I cant believe they forget to add oil...

They tell me to be careful, take it easy, don't go over 60, im like ok, i have to pick up my kids in Ontario 45 miles away (today Sunday May 5th), So I decide to take the 4runner to continue breaking in the new motor, I hear a crackle.... In the engine compartment, then like if there is marbles inside the engine going all over inside, then the truck suddenly stops and dies on me on a major road by my house...

Cal triple AAA and they tow me back to the shop, it's Sunday they are closed.... Whats do you guys think is going on? My truck worked perfect before the new motor, I didn't even think there was anything wrong with it, but 5 different mechanics tell me there is no low compression on cylinder 2... Now believe me my truck felt great, I towed my boat with it, went to the desert with it "before" I put the new engine??

How can I have such bad luck?
