93 4 runner wont take off

93 4 runner wont take off

i have a 93 4 runner just swapped the transmission but now it wont take off in drive but you can take off in i and manually shift up. what could be the problem and where do i start to look?

Good luck padawan. If you have it in drive, does it just rev up and go nowhere? I am not entirely sure what you mean that it does not "take off"

Was the swapped in transmission known to be good?

yeah when i rev up in drive it doesnt go anywhere and i ordered the transmission from the pullapart website.
