Reg Cab Body on Extended cab chassis

How much (more) shagging around would it be to swap a reg cab body and bed to an extended cab chassis? My daily driver Reg cab has a patched up chassis and it still needs more work. But my parts truck has a mint chassis and running gear with a very rough body.

Besides the general annoyance of swapping everything what problems could I run into and has anyone else tackled this?

You don't mention a specific model year or frame type.

The wheel wells are the same on all models. You can fit any bed, but you might need to open the rear panel or trim the frame.
F-H 997(39.25"), shortbed, long bed, super long(G-I), extra cab.

Cabins won't interchange without fabbing new body mounts.
C-D 1112(43.78") Regcab swb, lwb, S-lwb
C-D 1572(61.89") Ext-cab.
