1st gen 4Runner to 1st gen pick up My 83

I had a built 86 SAS 4Runner but I have always had my heart my set on one day owning a 1st gen pick up. A opportunity recently came up to purchase a friends built rust free truck that he replaced with a 70 FJ40 and after selling my truck and getting things in order I finally own what I have always wanted

Specs
1983 short bed SR5 Hilux
22r 105k original miles
LcE header
W56 5 speed
Marlin crawler built dual cases with 4.7:1 kit in rear case
High steer cross over and ifs box
85 front axle
4.88s/detroits
Marlin Crawler drive shafts
Bobby long front shafts and hub gears
Marlin crawler front and rear bumper
TG sliders
Blisteins all around
Etc etc

When the truck showed up on he carrier I pulled it into the garage and got started on checking it over. I then decided to do a quick tune up with all new factory parts from Toyota that I had ordered a head of time.

I then remembered I had these wet okole seat covers from a Tacoma I had and they fit damn near perfectly!

I have now since replaced all 4 marker lights, new dome light bulb and cover (was still available from toyota!)and yesterday I tossed in a new shifter bushing as well.

As of now I am looking into trying to get a little bit more out of the 22r so I am currently looking at a Weber 32/36 carb and intake manifold from LCE a long with an electric fan, DUI distributor. It's also technically do for a chain so I will probably do it the hard way and pull the head and install a new cam from engnbldr or LCE.

Thanks for looking and stay tuned for more!
Mike

Thanks guys!

It is not an STI...technically...It does however has the STI turbo, 6 speed trans and various other goodies. It puts down 360whp/411wtq on e85 so it moves out pretty good
