1986 Toyota truck front end problem...

I have had this truck for about 8 months now and last duck season whenever I was traveling to and from are duck hunting spots I ran into I problem with my front end. Before I would leave my house, unless I knew I wasn't going to run into any mud, I would lock in hubs and drive there in 2 wheels drive until I got to the mud whole. Now and then on the way there I would here a grinding noise. So the next day I checked my front differential to see what the fluid level was and it was low. So I topped it off and went on my way. Well the next time I locked them in It started again. It only does this when im in 2 wheel drive and going above 30 mph. What do you think might be the prob?

either front driveshaft or bearings on the transfer case would be the first things that come to mind. i guess it could also be the front diff too.
