'02 coilovers on an 87??

So I've got coilovers, shocks and leaf springs off an 02 prerunner and looking for some input on mounting the coilovers if possible. I know the wont fit in the upper control arm so I know I need to build a bracket off to the side. Am I wrong? Has anyone done something similar?

One of the Total Chaos long travel kits uses coilovers, anything is possible with time, money, and or fabrication skills.

Just weld a mount on you're LCA, one above the UCA for the top mount, and pull your torsion bars.

Well the way it sits now I'm not gettin those 02 coils in there. But I have some different ones that will fit in the UCA and I'm working on putting on a set of 02 prerunner leaf springs. So far everything looks amazing. Ill post a video of the travel later when the shackles are done and on. I have to move the rear mounts back a few inches and make new shackles. Out with those 50" springs and in with the 56's! It's got a lot more articulation then stock now.

Check out the Blazeland kit I have coilovers on my build. The only way to do it is lean the shock back.

Well I plan on getting blazelands long arm kit in the future and by that time i'll have king coilovers to use with it. I was mainly just trying to put tacoma coilovers on for now.

And I checked the ride height and travel with those new leaf packs and damn. Not bad for a cheap build. I love them. It would be nice if the bed wasn't bobbed though so the shackles weren't sticking out the back but it does look kinda cool

Nice. sounds like a cool build! Ya the stock upper arm makes it a pain to mount up anything custom. Just not enough room
