Rims from Sequoia

My mom has a 2004 Sequoia Limited that's being totaled due to electrical issues. She has 245/70/17 tires on it. Could I swap the rims and tires onto my 99 4Runner? Her tires are almost brand new and the ones on my 4Runner are about to need replacing. I was kinda wanting 17" rims for when I go to 285's anyway.

The tires on the Sequoia have the same stock diameter as those of your 4Runner, which is 31". However, they're skinny at 245 mm compared to the stock 265mm on the 4Runner.
The rims and tires should fit though. However, when you upgrade to 285, i presume 285/75R16, then you'll be needing wheel spacers to clear the UCAs.

Thanks. These are the rims I'm thinking of swapping to: http://www.google.com/search?q=toyot...rAGN94DADQ#i=0

I know I'll need wheel spacers, but maybe with shaving the UCAs a bit and small spacers they would work. Do you happen to know if these are 17x8s?

I think those are 17x7.5 with an offset of +15mm. the wheel size and offset are normally stamped on the backside of the rim. you can verify it.

So I did the swap. Had to swap the rotors and calipers too. Darn, got the 231mm brake setup for free. Lol

Thanks. I'm really liking these rims. Now to paint them as the OEM coating is starting to come off.
