Hi guys, I'm new to Toyota's, I've always drove Ford's. My buddy has this Toyota 4x4 forsale that he says is a 90 or 91 Toyota hilux pick up, it has a 3 inch body lift and 3 inch suspension lift, it needs new brakes front calipers and rubber brake lines also he said it could use a new spindle because the one the junk yard gave him was off a 4runner. The truck has a 3.0 with a 5 speed, it needs new tires also. He's asking 1000$ for it, I was wondering if u guys could tell me if this would be a good deal and maybe what model of Toyota this. Oh and he said the spindle makes the ball joint not go in all the way or something like that. What do you guys think?

Whats the condition of the body and frame? Really thats the most important issue to deal with. Tires wont be cheap for new ones. But if the body and frame are super nice, and you have a budget of say $2500 total and the know how to do it all yourself, you should be able to throw together a nice rig.
