Talking with technician at Firestone and they want to replace my 2004 Tacoma PreRunner front steering bushings and shaft booth on one side for $254.00. They showed me the play in the bushings but they did not mention any problem with the booth. The only problem I was having, front end shaking, no noise. Tires were rotated and balanced. I am planning on just replacing the bushings. Appreciate your opinion.

 

Not sure on this year tacoma, but a 2nd opinion from another shop is never a bad idea.

 

Changed the bracket bushings and that solved the wobble.
