Hi my names pat I have an 85 4 runner, I have been doing a new motor build with a buddy of mine, we striped the whole motor, had the block hot tanked , new crank(threw a rod bearing) head hot tanked valves taken out cleaned, new plugs, wires , rebuild kit from enginebulder with an rv cam


I got it started up, noticed it wasn't running right, cly 1 was misfiring , took off spark plug wire and idle didn't even hesitate, took off all other wires one by one and idle falls and motor almost dies

So cly 1 is deff miss firing so my buddy tells me to check power at the injector , I have power, so then I replace the injector, put it all back together and still misfiring

Does anyone have any input? Thank you

 

Didja try plug wires, plug, cap, rotor? Start simple. If you re-used any of that on your rebuilt engine....c'mon, you know how that'll end.
