I have an 85 4runner. I bought it after the previous owner had rolled it. I want to rebuild front axle and seals. How can I tell if axle is bent. Also can I get away with running a lunch box locker in the front on stock birfields with 32s?

 

Usually when you bend a front axle housing its difficult or impossible to remove the drivers side axle shaft. If it slides out nice you are probably okay.

 

YES!

I did a lock-rite up front with 33" tires. Never had an issue. Wheeled for 3 years with this set-up. It wasn't until I went with 35" tires that I got a crack in one 1 year later. (LONGS fixed that!)
