My wife was getting her brakes done yesterday, so she decided to take my truck to yoga, then grocery shopping. Got a phone call from her in the middle of the night (I am 8 hours ahead of eastern time where I am right now) saying my truck was making crazy noises. 200 dollars later after having it towed and the dealership check it out, the conclusion was it was in 4L. Not a shocker this happened knowing her. lol. Should I be worried about anything with her driving highway speed for about 30 miles in 4L? Needless to say, she had no clue how it happened....................

 

Probably fine. Show her how the 4WD works and how to operate it.

Yes sir, as soon as I return she will get a lesson. lol. I put a photo on facebook showing her which one puts it in gear and which one not to touch. Hopefully that will be enough education..................

I would check and or change your oils after this. The heat may have broke the oil down.

 

Nah, it'll be fine. Just tell her to leave the little stick in 2H. I think you can only do about 45 in 4L anyway. Wound out.

Holy hell. My trucks top at about 35 in low range.

Id change the fluid at least..

 

Good to run it in 4L a bit. Get the dust off the cogs....
