I have a 1990 model pickup 4x4 22re 5 speed.. I broke the input shaft in the transmission, and found a transmission out of a 1992 model truck. The shifter plate on top of the transmission looks different than the transmission that came out of my truck. I am just wondering if the swap will work? I honestly don't think that the transmission that was in my truck was the correct one to begin with, the gear shift would almost hit the cd player in 1st, 3rd and 5th gear.. Just wanting to get some input before I go through all the trouble of puting the transmission in and swapping transfer cases. Thanks in advance!!
