What are you guys planning on doing before it warms up?
Anyone got any new mods coming??????
I have 3 things I want to do before I finish my Bronco
1- ATS arms (don't know how much $?)
2- Rear Disks (my drums fill with mud easilly and don't drain)
3- 315s BFG MTs
other misc projects I have going on are:
Finish Rad. drop bracket, rewire winch, diff drop, pan arm, figure out the strange "pull and click from the 4wd"
Other projects are buying a tube bender for sliders and rear bumpers
Jeremy, did you get the rear disk from All Pro, will it fit all 8" rears? What else are my options?
I need to wax my truck and remove my racing stripes, What would you guys use to remove my oxidation and scratches????

by jay are you refering to me?
i got my rear disc kit from sky manf. but they dont sell the calipers with it. get the whole thing from downey. . . they sell the brakets, calipers, and hybrid brake lines. . . as well as other stuff like an adjustable proportioning valve so you can tune the front rear brake bias (i think thats what its for)
check my new thread for pics i just took today

Sorry Jeremy, had a brain fart... I like your brakes in the rear, is there a big difference in stopping?
Turbo, have you done any trimming to those flares? Your alarm is broke, was that from the dunking along time ago? Why not get some neons or some LED's instead of those Rock lights?

My winter project has a really late start considering that I don't get to start until now, so I'm really trying to get all my lift, shocks, gears and tires on and rolling before the parks open up again.
Unfortunatly everything has to be done almost at the same time. Anyone out there that knows someone who can weld, or knows how to do gears let me know. I really need to find someone that can cut off and re-weld shackle hangers for the longer leafs and help me set-up the 5.29s.

There are plenty of good cheep welders in Mooresville. What size metal are those hangers? I'm sure a 110 amp welder can do it. Michael Morris racing can set the gears, he builds engines for Nascar and is cheep. Looks like you have some work ahead of you. I can't wait to see it in action

How much $$$ do you think I would be looking at to have all that welding done, were talking All Pro front hanger, all new shackel hangers, spring perches for the rear and all shock hoops up front. Just in case I find someone around here I would like to know a good average price for the work so I don't get ripped, I've never had to deal with weling cost before. I wish my mechanic was confident enough in his welding to domy work, he would hook me up. Anyway just let me know an average cost for that stuff based on any experiances or knowledge.

I actually thought about some white neons instead of rock lights, but... there is ofcourse the ricer factor. Then you have to take into acount all that these bulbs will be put through. Then price. Neons aren't made for going though mud, and quite frankly... would probably get broken on the next trip to uwharee. Nor are they really designed to tackle standing water/dirt getting crammed in them. Then price... there is a descent chance they will get broken. if its a $10 tractor light, I will be in a much better mood than some neon tube. As for the leds, that would be cool, but again... price and leds just don't have the light spread. I'm going to need the widest lens I can find so its not just a dot under my truck. Maybe you could fab me up some sliders with rock light mounts
. That would be an industry first.
As for the alarm... no it wasn't put in the drink. It was acually their fault. If you can remember its the 2-way clifford that has the lcd remote and they were having big problems with the remotes. Too bad for me I can't find my damn recept so I have to buy a new freak'n remote. :pat:

1. complete rust repair and paint
2. finish front bumper before first 4roc meet.
3. possibly get some used swampers ar mud tires (looking for 35s)
hey stump my buddy could probably do any welding you may need, but you would have to bring it to him in Wilmington. If youre interested let me know I'll give him a call and see what we can work out. (He is the one helping me fab my new front bumper)

i paid $120 to have my engine mounts welded, but the guy helped out with the entire fitting the motor/trans in place too. I felt like i got a pretty fair deal out of it. He would probably weld all your stuff up for like $100-150 or so if he didnt have to do any heavy labor like we did with fitting my motor/trans in. He's a real nice guy and obviously very fair about the money. Paying in cash always helps too.

the guy preped and painted everthing, i need a 220 welder since the tubes that went thru the frame were soo thick. he also filled the gap with stock and welded. most the time was removing and reinstallin the springs otherwise he charged $38 an hour and welded less than an hour...........the more you prep and have ready the cheaper it is

clifford that has the lcd remote and they were having big problems with the remotes. Too bad for me I can't find my damn recept so I have to buy a new freak'n remote.
Clifford used to sponsor me back in the day. As I remember, they have an uncoditional warranty regarding their alarm pieces, including their remotes. Who installed it? Best Buy and Circuit City both have lifetime install warranties that also cover remotes. ( I should know... I've worked both places in college.)

Really??
They told me that it is only handled through clifford. I called them and they said send us the remote and your recept and we will send you a new one. That was when I thought I still had it. I haven't called them back since I can't find it, I just figured I'd need it. Is there any way you could hooke me up Jayson?? Its quite agrivating to have a $400 alarm system and not even be able to unlock the doors.
