I few days ago i started get really poor fuel economy so i started check stuff i found the tps was out of spec so i adjusted it according to fsm. when i got to the point of setting the resistance for the IDL-E2 for the clearance of .50mm and .80mm i noticed something weird. if i set them to spec one or the other will change value with vibration ie tapping a mallet on throttle body or trying to move connector even though the tps is torqued. Is there a happy medium that will make both values stable. Seems if i set the position of the tps with the .50mm gauge the .80mm value is sensitive or vise versa.

Or is the senor BAD?

You don't adjust/set the TPS according to resistance values. You only need to check the resistance values if you have reason to suspect that the TPS is faulty/malfunctioning. If you don't have any reason to suspect that's the case, then you simply adjust/set the TPS based on continuity between IDL & E2. And call it good, if...

.50mm = continuity(IDL-E2)
.60mm = continuity(IDL-E2)
.80mm = no continuity(IDL-E2)

What would give you reason to suspect that the TPS is faulty/malfunctioning? Diagnostic trouble codes 41 and/or 51. And not being able to clear those codes by adjusting/setting the TPS correctly(or fixing the wiring issue that could potentially be causing either code).
