I have a 20R wired without a voltage regulator so it's cranking out 16.5 volts, there is no stock wiring. I have read that a 1985 22R has a internal regulator alternator and want to know if this would fit my 20R bracket and if the wiring would be reasonable to to make it work ?
If I have to I will do a GM alternator swap but the cheaper,faster and easier the better.
