84 4Runner Heater core - w/ or w/o rear heat, are heater cores different?
Hello all, I recently rebuilt my 84 runner and relied heavily on YotaTech to get me out of various hangups, but this is my first post.
I have a cracked front heater core which I bypassed (it was July at the time it cracked) but now it's getting cooler and it's time to go ahead and replace it. I've looked into getting a new heater core online, but some of the ones I've seen specify "for non-rear heater trucks" etc. I have A/C and a rear blower/heater, but should it matter when ordering the front heater core? Is there any difference? As far as I can tell, the rear heater core is on a separate circuit anyway, so it doesn't seem like it would matter...

Sometimes they are smaller with the assistance of a rear heater. Other times they may have a "Y" type fitting as part of the main core, to feed the rear core. I'm not sure on your specific vehicle, just issues I have ran into.
