is this a difficult swap? yes I have read on it but none of the threads go into too much detail. I found a 4.3 that has a stand alone computer, would this be the route to go? I have the 5 speed. Also does anyone know what tranny is in the 99 taco 4x4 2.7l?? I am going to call advanced adapters to check on the adapter and then buy an ebay motor. The truck is a race truck so Im not too worried about making the guages and everything work

 

Easy swap ? Yeah kinda. Lot's of fab but its fun. Some claim how cheap there swap was , mine wasn't but i rebuilt everything. What model of 4.3 are you looking at ? Tbi has 160 hp , 1992 to 95 Cpi like mine has 195 hp , 1996+ 195 hp.
