Question Tenson winch?

Anyone heard of them? Someone has offered me a Tenson 12,000lb winch(minus the cable) for $250. He just bought a Blazer and the winch came with it. He said he did some research and the company was based in Oregon and no longer is in business. Anyway, can someone point me in some direction here? Good, bad, ????

I saw that too... but the date is 1999, and some post from other people made it sound like they no longer uphold the lifetime warranty. Someone said they tried to get parts and the company told them to junk the winch and buy a new one. I guess that kind of decides it. I want something that will last. Guess I'll be getting the MileMarker 9,000lb winch. More money but it has a warranty.
