New to me truck with no spark

I recently purchased a 94 truck with the 3.0. I have no spark. With six days of searching I have narrowed the issue down to the igniter. The main issue to resole right now are when I connect the battery the radio turns on I have no ignition switch so there is a short somewhere in order to track it down I need to put in a permanent switch I have been using a jerry rigged push button and 50 Amp toggle. What I have searched for for a long time now is actual wiring and installation of a push button start. I do know that it will make it easy to steal I have remedies for that. What I have going on is a brown wire and a black with red tracer they are constant hot a brown with white tracer that according to wiring diagrams goes to the alternator and is a secondary ignition I also have a black with white tracer that goes to the starter a black with yellow tracer that is suppose to be ignition hot and a blue with red tracer that I believe is an accessory wire. I know i can use three wires to start it and run the sytstem hot what I need is info and advice on how many toggles and how to wire them to have the system operate 100% correct, just as if there were a tumbler and key there. Also I have searched extensively on other ignitor options that are cheaper, all I find are HEI mods for the four cylinder are there other options? I only need the truck to run for six or so months, that is when I plan on having all of my parts for a 1.9 TDI swap here for installation, I have already ordered the adapter from Acme to install it I just need to get my motor now. I think I have clearly stated what I want any assistance would be greatly appreciated thank you. On a side note I used an HEI module on my Datsun 240z to great effect I am really hoping this is an option but it is not looking like it. Again thank you

All right no responses in the last 24. So here is what I am thinking.Brown/ constant hot to toggle. One Jumper from second post to push button, black white/starter wire to second post on push button. Second constant hot black with red tracer to second switch, alternator wire/secondary ignition brown with white tracer and accessory wire blue with red tracer to second post on second switch. That leaves me with an ignition hot black with yellow tracer hanging loose and no real idea where to place it..... Any ideas suggestions/ issues?

I know there is an option for the 22RE to upgrade to the GM style module/coil in a past issue of Toyota Owners Magazine. I'm not sure if that can be applied to the 3.slow. And I'm pretty sure it wasn't the HEI version. I'm not very familiar with the 3vz engine set up, or I would love to help. My apologies. Be patient, someone will chime in who has more 3.slow experience.

What's your reasoning for going TDI? 3.4 (5vz) is a much more common swap from what I have seen. Although I almost did a TDI in my '84.....

I am just a diesel fan, there are a few 5vz's around me so just figured I would go diesel. That and for the price of all the components for the 5vz swap I can do the TDI cheaper when sourcing local. I am already putting a TDI in to my 73 Datsun 240z
