VSV elimination 1989 22re what to do w/ wiring after capping ports
I have a 1989 22re. complete rebuild. im trying to clean the electrical up a bit. Still need to pass CA smog.
SO....after the plentum and the idle-up valve are capped after removing the vacuum hoses, What do you do w/ the vsv valves themselves and the wiring that connects to them from the efi harness? Just cut them or is there a pig tail that gets disconnected?- a/c related- i removed my a/c
Also just cap off the p/s pump ports at the p/s pump?
And where do you draw vacuum from to bypass the fuel pressure regulator (fpr) vsv? cali smog??
Can I literally get rid of all my vsv's and remove the idle up valve completely and cap that hole in the plentum as well. I think that bronze/gold thing w/ the white screw that is located on the driver side of the plentum is the idle up valve?
All this removed w/ Cali smog.
4crawler if your out there i know you live in cali and have done some of this?????

And where the heck is the vsv for the a/c. I have 3 vsv on bracket on top of valve cover. Part #'s 90910- 12084, 90910-12085, 90910-12086??? I think through the research ive done and after starring at fsm diagrams, that one is for the fuel pressure regulator, one is for the egr valve, and one is for the pair valve. Now the fsm i was starring at was for a 1993 i have a 1989, but the diagram looked so familiar??? Where is the vsv for the a/c.??? The fsm diagram shows one. There is also a solenoid looking thing mounted to the firewall w/ 2 vacuum hoses coming form the idle up valve that is on the side of the plentum???? What is that. Possible something for a/c???? I have heard of 22re's having 4 vsv's but mine has three. And despite what 4 crawler says i don not have a vsv for my p/s pump. Help me 4crawler and anyone else please!!!!!!!!!
