Thinkin about a lift

Im goin on a camping trip in a few weeks and we are gonna do some off roading so i was thinkin about tryin to throw a small lift on my truck. My leaf springs and shocks are pretty beat and i was originally just going to replace them but Ive been lookin around and suddenly a 3-4 inch suspension lift appeals to me. My truck is a 1980 4x4 shortbed with a 1981 22r. Ive been looking on the internet at different suspension kits and noticed there is a wide variety. some look like they require a lot of welding and some look so simple that I cant help but question there functionality. Im not going to be doing any real technical crawling on this trip so with that in mind what would be a good kit for me?

The 2" OME kit is a good option, mild lift, works well and bolts up to all the stock brackets:

Check out LC Engineering, they have good quality products. Downey made the best but is no longer in business but LC Engineering purchased some of Downey's product lines. Talk to John in tech I am sure he can help you with a wise choice.
