I just bought a 98 4runner sr5 2wd (daily driver). I just recently finished up general maintenance (fluids, new radiator, timing belt and tailgate window replaced) and its running great! My next step is figuring out how to cut down on the chrome (not a chrome fan) without spending a ton. Any suggestions?

 

Replace with black part or paint.

So you have chrome bumpers and wheel well trim? Anything else? Maybe the rear license plate trim?

I'm not a chrome fan either but will keep my factory chrome look a while longer. A lot of people paint the chrome. As with all paint jobs, 90% is preperation.
