white smoke from exhaust (89 3.0 p/u)
So just got back from my winter in colorado. drove there and back. when i got back home (WA) i went to start my truck up the next morning. and had white smoke coming from my exhaust, obviously my first thought was the headgasket. checked the oil. not milky at all looks fine. checked the radiator and no bubbles are coming up at all. truck doesnt over heat. but i have to fill it up with water every time i go take a look at it. seems to be running completely fine, havent driven as im afraid to do more damage. is it just the head gasket that isnt showing the normal signs? or is there some other thing out there it could? thanks for any help.

Mak92 just had an incident where he had white smoke so he didn't drive it for fear of doing more damage but it turns out he had like 11 quarts of oil in and it caused it to do that, that's something easy to check. . .

I get to replace a head gasket too lol. I took my wifes '82 22R-E wheeling, came back rolling in the white smoke! I don't know if your engine harder or mine but I'm in the same boat. Apparently Yotas can't take heat, I didn't ever watch the temp because it's been a good truck but one day glanced down and it's buried in the red. The head gasket for my 22R-E is $22 now I get to pull the intake and head.
