3.4 swap parts list

I am looking at buying a 3.4 out of a wrecked 98 4Runner that my buddy owns. What should I grab besides the obvious engine, trans, ECU, and engine harness?

Evap. And exhaust all the way past the second O2 sensor.

Also gonna need the body harness plug.

Is this going in the 88??

Yeah the 88. Since its what I wanted to end up with in the long run. I figure to skip a few steps and some extra cash

My advice is buy the complete donor vehicle. Use what you need, part out the rest and then scrap it.

It is by far cheaper in the long run in time, money spent and aggravation.

I have done just a few and have yet to not mske money off my donor vehicles after scavenging them. It takes effort yes, but not much.

Links in the FAQ have the parts list.

Thanks Brian. I would like to get the whole vehicle but my buddy wants like 1700 for it. He has got big ambitions for parting it out himself lol. I was going to try to get the whole thing for like 1000 but to no avail. But I think it will sit in his yard long enough for me to scavenge what I need before it goes somewhere. :fingerscrossed:

Go find another one then. I've paid $500 to $1500 for wrecked 3.4 Toyotas as they aren't that hard to find.

Flash some Ben Frankins in front of him for doing nothing and haul it off.

I never wheel and deal without cash to motivate. Everyone is greedy and everyone is lazy. Just depends on their price.

^^ You can find a cheap whole doner. $600 for mine. You'll be way better off than buying piece by piece, cheaper too.

Yeah. I am thinking that I could get it for cheaper if I try to wheel and deal. He is trying to justify making a bunch back because he spent 7k on it less than a year ago. But wrecked is wrecked. Not gettin 7k out of it

Them Yotas do part out good if you are patient, you can make some money (as you know). But there are plenty of fish in the sea. Pick a good one, complete, CHEAP one.

Yeah I have been looking for around 6 months. Craigslist everyday. But the people out here in CO want crack head prices for everything. They seem to think that everything is made with gold.
