I was just wondering if anyone has succesfully installed an aftermarket head unit in a 2004 4Runner with the JBL system?

I tried to make the headunit work with the existing JBL system but no dice. The wiring harness from 2003 get's you 95% there. The other big 5% is a problem created when Toyota changed the analog on signal for the JBL amplification system in 2003 to a digital signal produced by the factory radio in 2004. So no juice using the 2003 harness or any harness for that matter.

I am curious if anyone has overcome this obstacle. As of right now Metra, soundgate, and international do not offer any solution.
