60 degree vent temp on 2003 tacoma

60 degree vent temp on 2003 tacoma

Is this normal? Its 95 degrees outside. Even when im on the hwy. my dads blows 40 degrees in his tundra

This is with the A/C on? If so, you may need a charge.

A/c temp is going to vary with humidity, and also whether it is on max or fresh air. If you choose to do a chill can, try to avoid the ones with leak sealer as they can clog up your system.

Yes a/c is on. Ive put on recirculate and fresh air but notice no difference.

30 degrees below ambient temperature is USUALLY the best performance threshold i ever see and i work at a dealership on low mileage cars. if you're getting 60 on a 95 degree day that's pretty good in my book

in a GOOD working system, vent temp should be 38 to 44 degrees. it sounds like your low on refrigerent, but Lycanistic is right, humidity will affect perfomance, more humidity, means more ice build up on the evaporator. also take into account why you might be low. you might have a small leak, or moisture contamination, or it might be overcharged. if you really want it to work good, take it to a shop so they can pressure test it, and vacuum test it. and go from there.
