Mounting M8000 to T15/T17

I have a T15 and just bought a new Warn M8000 and have a question on mounting the control box. Did any of you have to drill new holes in the top of the bumper to run the wiring from the control box to the winch? There's an opening on the driver side top of the T15 but the way the winch has to mount to the bumper puts the electrical connections on the passenger side and the wiring isn't long enough. I suppose I could extend the wires but then they'll run the risk of interfering with the winch while in use.

I just wanted to see what's been done by members with a T15/T17 and mounting their control box before I start drilling holes in my bumper.

Make longer cables and mount in engine bay. Makes life easier in the long run.

Do you make any bracket to relocate the control box? I have no fab skills and was looking under the hood and I can't see a good place to put it, thanks for posting in the other thread too.
I have been searching all over different sites and still can't find a pic of what people did to mount the box. I see pics of it on bumpers or inside engine bays but no pics of brackets or write ups.

I found the bracket I am looking for, looks like the previous style of control box came with it. Mine has a square rubber plug to protect the connection, not a round push in style like the older ones. Anyway, I need this bracket to mount my control box to my T15, anybody have one?

Wink

Put the controls in the cab and be done with it.

Really quite simple to make new cables

I have done a few.:wabbit2:
